CONFIRMED: A Disney Hotel Is CHANGING Its Housekeeping Rules

Aulani is Disney’s first resort in Hawaii, and is located in the Ko Olina area on the leeward side of the island of Oahu. We recently visited this resort again, and it’s utterly gorgeous — but there’s an important change you need to know about if you’ve got an upcoming trip planned.

Starting on May 28th, 2025, Aulani Resort will offer room cleaning services every other day of your stay, instead of every day. This includes bed making, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of bathrooms, kitchen/kitchenette, and washing the dishes, removal of trash and towels, as well as replenishment of towels and amenities.

Bed sheets will be changed every four nights, or upon request. You can still request daily housekeeping services with service beginning the following day. Housekeeping services are between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM.

For Disney Vacation Club Members staying at Aulani using Member Points or Member Cast Discounts, Housekeeping services remain the same and are not affected by this new change.

According to Disney, this change is in support of the company’s key sustainability initiatives and environmental impacts, while also aiming to address guest privacy and comfort with fewer interruptions. Additional benefits include efficiency in operations, allowing for more personalized service.
