We know there’s been a lot of news surrounding Epic Universe lately, but is Universal changing something before the park even opens?

During a recent visit to Epic Universe, we spotted something new. Now, Universal has not stated if this change is temporary or if it will stick around when the park opens on May 22nd, but waiting in line might look a little different now.
Epic Universe is not currently open to the public, but Universal is hosting Team Member Previews, during which Team Members and their family members can visit the park to help test out attractions and restaurants before they’re completely open. Soon, Annual Passholder previews will kick off, too. Preview dates for Annual Passholders will run from April 17th through May 8th.

During our recent visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry of Magic, we saw that Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry of Magic ride now has a virtual line system in place.

On your Universal App, you can link your park tickets to your travel party and choose a virtual line return time. Times will be available at 11, 3, and 6 PM.

Right now, Battle at the Ministry is the only attraction available for a return time, but Universal could add more during the previews or continue to add them once the park is open. During our ride preview, we also spotted a “single riders” sign, so keep your eyes out for a special queue for single parties.

If you’re able to take advantage of the virtual queue system, simply join the queue on the Universal app. Then, when your return time is called, you’ll go back to the attraction and enter the queue. You will still have to enter the standby line and wait in line, but this can cut hours off of your wait time.

We’ll be monitoring these virtual return times throughout the park to see if these changes will only occur during Team Member Previews or will continue past May 22nd. Keep following AllEars to stay up to date on everything happening!
