You might notice that something changed on the Disney+ app!

If you logged in recently and noticed something new pop-up on the home screen, you are not alone.
On December 4th, Disney added an ESPN+ tile to the Disney+ interface. Now, subscribers with the Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundles can access content for all three services within the Disney+ app.

Even subscribers who do not have Hulu or ESPN+ will notice the tile hanging out inside the Disney+ app. Disney hopes that making the tiles visible to everyone will help people discover what these services offer and encourage them to update their subscriptions in the Disney+ app.

Even without being subscribed to ESPN+, Disney+ subscribers can now access a curated selection of live sports, studio shows, and films. Disney+ subscribers will also have access to select TV shows and movies from Hulu.

This new addition to the Disney+ app is laying the groundwork for the launch of ESPN’s flagship direct-to-consumer product, which is anticipated to launch in the fall of 2025.
