There are many individuals associated with Disney that we’ve lost recently.

These people include Bob Saget, Gilbert Gottfried, and Betty White. Now, unfortunately, Disney has shared the news that Disney legend Ron Logan has passed away. He was 84 years old.
Ron Logan “was responsible for revolutionizing live entertainment for The Walt Disney Company.” He started out as a trumpet player in Disneyland and performed with Disney during the 1960 Winter Olympics in California. From 1965 to 1978, he worked as the director of bands and jazz studies at Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California before he moved to Orlando to become Walt Disney World Resort’s music director.

In 1980, he returned to Disneyland to become the park’s director of entertainment but ultimately returned to Disney World in 1982 to become the resort’s vice president of entertainment. He became the vice president of creative show development for all Walt Disney attractions in 1987. In his final role at Disney, Ron Logan was executive vice president, executive producer, for Walt Disney Entertainment.
Ron Logan was a key player in the production of things like Fantasmic!, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, and Festival of the Lion King, among many others. He was named a Disney Legend in 2007, an honor given to individuals for their contributions to the Walt Disney Company.

The next time you’re in Magic Kingdom, you can a tribute to Ron Logan on Main Street, U.S.A. in the window for the Main Street Music Co.

Our thoughts are with his friends and family during this difficult time.
