Update: As of Wednesday, December 15th, everything is back to normal in Magic Kingdom and Cinderella’s Royal Table is operating as usual. As far as we can tell from the outside, Cinderella Castle isn’t visibly damaged.
Earlier tonight, there were reports of a fire at Magic Kingdom.

Emergency vehicles were on the scene, with guests blocked off from the area around Cinderella Castle. Following the incident, Disney has released a statement.
As shared by reporter Scott Gustin on Twitter, Disney released a statement on the event.

According to Disney in a statement obtained by Scott Gustin, “There was a small fire in Magic Kingdom. The fire was quickly extinguished by fire extinguishers. No one was hurt.”

Gustin updated further that the fire “was put out by a single fire extinguisher.” He went on to update that it happened “in a mulched area near the castle moat.”
UPDATE: According to the Orlando Sentenial, the President of the Reedy Creek Firefighters Association (John Shirey), has shared that “the call initially came into the fire department…as an electrical fire on a junction box outside the castle.” And, when fire personnel first arrived, they “saw a tree on fire next to the structure.”
Additionally, he stated that “fire personnel treated a security guard who inhaled dry chemicals from a fire extinguisher” and a Disney spokesperson also shared that “a cast member was transported from the park for non-emergency treatment.” These were the only reported injuries from the incident.
Update: The small fire happened in a mulched area near the castle moat. A single fire extinguisher put out the fire.
