There have several Disney films that are worthy of exhibits in the Smithsonian — the world’s largest museum complex.

But this month, one lesser-known Disney character is heading to Chantilly, Virginia to be displayed in a Smithsonian exhibit honoring the history of aviation.
Did you guess who it is? It’s Dusty Crophopper from Planes!

According to the Smithsonian Magazine, Dusty is heading to the tarmac at the Steven F. Udvar-Haxy Center for the “annual fly-in and aviation show” as part of the Innovations in Flight Family Day and Aviation Display.

The plane is an Air Tractor AT-301/400A that was painted and fixed to look like the character from Disney’s 2013 film Planes. In the movie, Dusty is a crop duster who has dreams of becoming a racer.

Rusty Lindeman donated the plane to the Smithsonian for this exhibit, which is open on August 21st. Admission to the exhibit (which is outdoors) is free, but you’ll need to book a ticket in order to be admitted. You can go see Dusty anytime between 10AM and 3PM on Saturday at the National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia.
