PHOTOS: We Spotted Construction at a CLOSED Disney World Location!

While many Disney World hotels and restaurants have reopened since the initial closures began last year, some have yet to open their doors again or will permanently remain closed.

Disney’s BoardWalk

Ample Hills Creamery is one of the locations that closed its doors for the last time last year. The ice cream shop had been serving up sweets at the Disney BoardWalk since 2016 and was planning to open a new location at Disney Springs, but filed for bankruptcy last March. Ample Hills may not be returning, but Disney is up to something at the former location.

Today, we spotted a construction crew in front of the building that once housed all the ice cream! The entrance area was completely blocked off and construction workers were using a lift to work on the roof.

What is Disney up to today?

When we were passing, we only saw them working on this one corner where the roof meets the side of the building.

Could this location be getting something new!

Disney has not announced anything new planned for this location yet but it was exciting to see some commotion in the area once again! We’re keeping track of all the new and upcoming experiences at Disney World so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
