This Epic Universe Ride Will Be CLOSED Longer Than Originally Planned

We wish we could say this is surprising news…but this just doesn’t shock us anymore!

Epic Universe just dropped news that Stardust Racers will be closed for an even longer period of time than anticipated. Let’s take a look at the news and see how this affects any of you who have plans to come to the park this spring!

It was just announced that Epic Universe has extended the closure period of Stardust Racers. The popular roller coaster, which closed on February 19th, will now be temporarily closed through April 5th, 2026.

Stardust Racers will then reopen on April 6th…at least, that’s the plan for now. This is now the third time this particular refurb has been extended. It was originally scheduled to end on February 22nd, then extended to the 28th, then into March, and now into April.

There hasn’t been any specific reason given for the extension. However, Stardust Racers has faced major issues since it opened with the park last year, including reports of injuries, lawsuits, and the highly publicized death of a guest last September. So, they’re going to make sure the ride is 100% ready before reopening it!

On top of this, Universal has a couple of other temporary ride closures around the resort, including:

• One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish — March 24th, 2026 through March 25th, 2026
• Jurassic Park River Adventure — January 5th, 2026 through November 19th, 2026
• Pteranodon Flyers — February 27th, 2026 through May 14th, 2026
• Me Ship, The Olive — April 19th, 2026 through April 25th, 2026
