Universal Just Teased Halloween Horror Nights News — But What Does It Mean?

Universal just dropped the FIRST Halloween Horror Nights teaser of the season, and we need YOUR help decoding it!

Ready to be scared?

Now that summer is quickly approaching and Epic Universe is FINALLY open, we have something to tide us over in Dark Universe to curb our horror appetites. But, if you’ve been like us and itching for any clues Universal might give up about this year’s theme and haunted houses that will be announced later, now’s our first chance!

We’ve been waiting all year long, and now the day is finally here! Universal has just released its first teaser of what horrors await us in this year’s Halloween Horror Nights 34.

Although Universal has yet to drop detailed information about the houses, overall theme, and multiple merch collections we’ll see once the season starts, half the fun of them dropping these hints is decoding their meaning. Here, we’ll let you see for yourself!

Hmm…that’s a lot of static, faint screams, and what sounds like heavy breathing to us. Perhaps slowing the frames down to analyze them might bring you better luck — or usher you into facing your worst nightmares!

Swamp of the Undead

HHN fans have already flooded Universal Halloween Horror Nights’ X post with their guesses and celebratory comments in eager anticipation of further announcements. Historically, we’ve seen Universal release multiple announcements of the upcoming season’s haunted houses, scare zones, exclusive merch, show confirmations, and more, so it stands to reason we could be in for quite a lead-up to this season with rumors of MAJOR IP houses at the focal point.

We’ve also yet to hear any announcement from Universal Orlando about HHN ticket sales. In the past, Universal has released single-night tickets first, followed by multi-night tickets that can get you access to more fun over the subsequent days of your visit. We’re also hoping to see the return of a few enhancements to your night’s ticket and experience, like Express Pass options, VIP tours they appropriately call R.I.P. Tours, and the most recent addition of a daytime walkthrough by a tour guide of some of the haunted houses called Behind the Screams. So as you can see, there’s still a lot left to learn, and we don’t think Universal’s in any rush to stop building on the suspense!
