What do we love about How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk in Epic Universe? Oh — let us count the ways! First of all, the music is phenomenal. The attractions are a BLAST. The characters (including TOOTHLESS) are quirky, funny, and endearing. The food? SO fun and special. Clearly, we ADORE this magical new land.

Today, we’re back in Berk for a little snack. If you’re anything like us, you might enjoy a little sweet treat every now and then, and we know just the place to go to satisfy your craving. Come along, and let’s eat!
We stopped by the new How to Treat Your Dragon treat shop in Isle of Berk! This is basically just a cute little shop with a bakery case. It’s fun, but tiny — be prepared for longer lines on busy days at Epic Universe. We ordered our treat at the counter, then they called our number when it was ready.

So, what did we order? Ta-da! We went for the Vanilla Caramel Cake Pop for $10. You’ll need a dragon-sized appetite to enjoy this new Vanilla Caramel Cake Pop — it’s surprisingly BIG.

Now, we are cake lovers around here, but it’s safe to say that cake and cake pops are two very different things. Cake pops tend to have a thick candy coating (both for decoration and for structural integrity), and the ratio of cake to coating tends to be off. But, in this case, the cake pop is SO big that there’s basically a whole cupcake’s worth of cake here — SCORE!

If you’re thinking to yourself, “This is way too much dessert for one sitting,” don’t worry — it comes with a Ziploc bag, making it SUPER easy to save for later. Finally! Someone actually thought about our leftovers. For this? We are eternally grateful.

OK, enough about the logistics. How does it taste? We went with the vanilla caramel flavor, and the name is pretty self-explanatory. The cake itself tasted like it was vanilla-flavored, but we got hints of caramel with each bite. The cake pop is not too sweet, and the texture is moist and dense, with a good balance of cake and candy coating. If you’re looking for a shareable snack, this could be a great option — just note that it’s not easy to cut and eat without the popsicle stick.

Listen. We know that at $10, it’s not a cheap cake pop. But it’s not your typical Starbucks cake pop — this baby is SUPERSIZED, so it actually feels fair for the price. It’s a simple, crowd-pleasing treat, and you can’t go wrong with cake, right?
