“I’m Literally Gonna Think About This All the Time” — The Epic Universe Snack You CANNOT Miss

We’ve been eating our way around Epic Universe ever since previews began for the new park!

With five different lands, several restaurants, and a variety of snack stands, there’s quite a bit of food to try out. That’s the fun of a brand-new park! And today, we’re taking you along with us to Burning Blade Tavern to review one of their snacks.

Burning Blade Tavern is located in the back of Dark Universe, and yes, the name is literal! Throughout the day, the windmill blades actually catch fire.

We’ve already had some of the eats and drinks here, but this go around, we’re snagging the Charred Loaded Potato for $11.49. It’s hickory char-crusted, topped with Monterey Jack, sour cream, jalapeño bacon, and chives.

And you know what? This elevated baked potato was one of our FAVORITE things we’ve eaten in this park so far. It’s well-cooked, and even the skin was infused with flavor in that charred way. Honestly, one of the best loaded potatoes we’ve had.

The jalapeno bacon adds the perfect amount of heat to mix with the smoky flavor, and the sour cream helps cool it all down. The portion is absolutely massive — Quincy noted that she hadn’t eaten in hours and still couldn’t finish all of it.

It reminded us of something you’d get at a fancy BBQ restaurant — seriously, we’ll be thinking about this one for a while. You should definitely try it on your next visit to Epic Universe!
