CONFIRMED: Get Ready for an ALL-NEW Universal Event This Summer!

Universal Studios Hollywood is going to be introducing a brand-new event this summer, and you won’t want to miss it!

Summer 2025 is going to be a blast at Universal Hollywood! From June 13th through to August 10th, Universal Studios will be hosting an event called the “Universal Mega Movie Summer” — and we have all the details for you right here.

Experience a whole new summer event at Universal Hollywood with attractions, character meet and greets, and more!

Soak up the summer with a splash on the Jurassic World ride, a thrilling water ride that now features the brand-new enhanced Mosasaurus splash encounter! This new ride has been a fan-favorite since it opened in 2019, and it’s a must-see at Universal Hollywood — especially with its all-new addition. On top of that, there will be all-new character meet and greets, new eats, new merchandise, and a dinosaur scavenger hunt.

The summer event will also offer brand-new photo op spots, where you can capture a moment with your favorite characters! We’re excited to see what places these new photo ops transport us to.

There are also a couple of big anniversaries happening this year. Jaws will be celebrating 50 years since it’s release, and Back to the Future will be celebrating 40 years. Universal Hollywood will be celebrating these anniversaries as a part of there “Mega Movie Summer” event. For their anniversaries there will be exclusive eats and treats inspired by the two movies.

Jaws will be getting something extra special for the film’s anniversary, with all-new surprises on the world-famous Studio Tour! This will include the Jaws Lake attraction with a special July 4th celebration all summer long.

As for Back to the Future, there will be brand-new character meet and greets, themed food and merchandise, and many more surprises!

Oh, and did we mention there would be a nighttime party in the park as well?! Dance the night away at this nightly DJ dance party that you will not want to miss!

Tickets are available now, so we would get on that ASAP! If you’re a Universal Annual or Season Passholder, don’t worry, that’s your admission to the summer bash (blockout dates will apply).
