BREAKING: HUGE Parking Change Hits Disney’s Polynesian Village, and You’re Gonna LOVE It

The Polynesian Village Resort in Disney World is one of the most popular hotels on property!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

It’s a beautiful resort that has amazing tropical theming, many EXCELLENT dining options, great Happily Ever After fireworks viewing, and it’s very close to the Magic Kingdom. Oh, and the resort has direct Monorail access! Well, we have some GREAT breaking news — the Polynesian Village Resort is about to get even better!

According to Cast Members at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you can now park at the Polynesian Resort if you are dining at Wailulu Bar and Grill, Tambu Lounge, or Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. The parking will be allowed starting at 2 PM until closing!

The Cast Member also told us, “You can park at the main parking lot, not the one by the Island Tower Hotel.” That means even if you’re not staying at the Polynesian Hotel, you might be able to park at the hotel — this would save a LOT of time!

Any of the restaurants or lounges that don’t accept regular reservations are open for non-resort guests to park at the hotel. Now, Disney will prioritize hotel guest parking, and a Cast Member said they could run into a situation where they might not be able to welcome all non-hotel drivers. This will all be based on availability, but as it stands now, people are welcome to come and enjoy the hotel!

This is a game-changer, as normally you can only park at a Disney resort hotel if you have a dining reservation. Now it looks like you can park at Polynesian Resort after 2 PM, if you want to just go and enjoy these other dining options.

View at Wailulu

This parking opportunity will be a great way for guests who aren’t staying at the resort to enjoy the Polynesian’s new Wailulu Bar & Grill. The Wailulu just opened up in December of 2024, and it’s beautiful! You get to settle in for a relaxing dining experience filled with dazzling Polynesian-inspired artwork and a great view of the Happily Ever After fireworks. A lot of the artwork at this bar and grill is crafted from recycled materials and reclaimed fishing nets.

Wailulu Bar & Grill

Wailulu Bar & Grill gets its name from the Hawaiian words wai (meaning “water”) and lulu (meaning “calm”). Fittingly, this gorgeous spot has stunning views of the Seven Seas Lagoon.
