Planning on flying to Orlando on a budget? We’ve got you covered.

Orlando International Airport (MCO) is one of the busiest travel hubs in the country, especially for budget-conscious travelers heading to Disney World, Universal, and beyond. But not all budget airlines are created equal, and some can make or break the start of your trip. Based on Yelp user reviews, we’re ranking every budget airline that offers nonstop flights to Orlando from best to worst — so you know exactly what you’re getting into before you book.
Southwest Airlines – 3.4/5 (237 reviews)
Southwest takes the top spot on this list, and while a 3.4-star rating might not seem amazing, it’s a standout in the budget airline category. Let’s have a look at what you said about Southwest:

Compared to the rest on the list, Southwest is easily the most reliable budget option for flying into Orlando.
JetBlue – 2.6/5 (199 reviews)
JetBlue used to be the king of budget-friendly comfort, but recent years haven’t been kind. Flyers still praise the free snacks, in-flight entertainment, and decent legroom, but many complain about unpredictable delays and deteriorating customer service.

If you catch a good flight, it’s a solid choice—but the unpredictability knocks it down a few spots.
Breeze Airways – 2.6/5 (23 reviews)
Breeze is still new to the game, and that’s both a good and bad thing. The airline touts itself as a “nice” low-cost carrier with newer planes and a simplified booking process. But let’s see what you had to say:

However, the limited number of reviews suggests mixed experiences, so the verdict feels like a bit of a gamble at the moment.
Avelo Airlines – 2.2/5 (11 reviews)
Avelo is another newer airline with a growing presence at MCO. Here’s one of the most recent reviews:

Other than that one, reviews are few, and it looks like the consensus is that while flights are cheap, you get what you pay for—limited flight options, extra fees, and basic service. It’s not the worst, but it’s definitely not the best either.
Allegiant Air – 2/5 (179 reviews)
Allegiant’s business model is all about ultra-low fares, and that means extra charges for just about everything. Reviewers frequently mention hidden fees, uncomfortable seats, and poor customer service. For example, have a look at this review:

If you can navigate the fees and pack light, you might score a cheap flight—but expect no frills and hope for no delays.
Spirit Airlines – 1.5/5 (466 reviews)
Ah, Spirit—the airline everyone loves to hate. With the highest number of reviews on this list, Spirit has built a reputation for cheap flights, endless fees, and unpredictable service. But, let’s see what you’ve had to say:

At the end of the day, if you’re flying Spirit, go in with low expectations, and you might not be disappointed.
Frontier Airlines – 1.4/5 (649 reviews)
Frontier is basically Spirit’s twin, and the reviews reflect that. It’s known for ultra-low fares but makes up for it with fees on everything, from seat selection to carry-ons. Let’s have a look at one of your reviews:

If saving money is your only concern, it might be worth it—just don’t expect much else.
Sun Country Airlines – 1.3/5 (13 reviews)
Bringing up the rear is Sun Country, with the lowest rating on our list. Though it’s not as well-known as Spirit or Frontier, the few reviews it has paint a picture of frustration. For example, have a look at this review:

From surprise fees to operational issues, travelers consistently warn against flying Sun Country unless absolutely necessary.
If you’re looking for the best balance of affordability and reliability, Southwest is the clear winner. JetBlue and Breeze are decent second choices, but once you get into the 2-star range and below, it’s all about managing expectations. If you’re booking with Spirit, Frontier, or Sun Country, just know what you’re signing up for—and maybe pack a little extra patience.

Will you be flying to Disney World in 2025? Let us know in the comments!
Always fly frontier, never an issue, and now if you have their credit card, checked bags are free, so basically you just pay for a seat if you want a specific one, but that’s optional. It’s a thousand times better than Spirit (which is about to disappear forever btw)
