REVIEW: Mama’s Snack Stop at Disney’s Aulani Resort

Aloha! We recently visited Hawaii to take in everything Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa.

Aulani

That means we got some time with the island breeze flowing through our hair, some fun in the sun, and some unique snacks, like those fun shave ice treats. But forget shaved ice because we found something we think is even better: Corn Dog Nuggets at Mama’s Snack Stop.

Disney Vacation Planner

Corn Dog Nuggets, you may ask? Can’t you get those in Disney World? Well, the answer is “yes,” but we’ll get to that in a minute.

Background

Mama’s Snack Stop is a quick-service dining spot with a menu that features delicious Hawaiian-style dishes, snacks, and sweets. There’s even a keiki menu for kids.

Atmosphere

Mama’s Snack Stop resembles a typical beach shack with walk-up windows where you can grab your food and take it to the beach to sit and eat.

The vibe is laid back and casual, as is the menu.

Food & Drinks

The menu features Hawaiian-inspired Fish & Chips, as well as other meals like Coconut Breaded Shrimp, and an Ono sandwich. You can also get a few snacks like Mozzarella Sticks and Mini Corn Dogs. A few beverages, including one beer, are also available here.

Menu

We’ve already told you we’re here for the Mini Corn Dog Bites (aka Corn Dog Nuggets). These are batter-wrapped mini beef franks served with yellow and spicy mustard. We’re just going to tell you now that these are better than the Mini Corn Dogs at Casey’s Corner in Magic Kingdom. The quality of the franks is WAY better and they’re super meaty.

Mini Corn Dog Bites

The cornmeal on the outside also tasted a bit sweeter and less mealy than the cornmeal on the Casey’s Mini Corn Dogs. So Disney has been hiding the better Corn Dog Nuggets in Hawaii!

SO GOOD

We’ll be checking out ALL the dining spots at Aulani, so be sure to check back with AllEars again soon for more reviews and Disney news.
