If you’re dreaming of visiting a galaxy far far away, no need to scavenge for a starship, you can find it at The Happiest Place on Earth!

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge over at Disneyland lets you live out your own Star Wars adventure with attractions and experiences that immerse you in this incredible world. One of these experiences, however, is going to change. Here’s all you need to know!
If you’ve ever dreamed of having your own droids like R2-D2 or BB-8, the Droid Depot inside Galaxy’s Edge is the place to be! At the Blackspire’s Outpost industrial depot, you can create your own droid by choosing different parts from a moving conveyor belt and assembling it piece by piece. How neat is that?

From different styles to choose from, and even a personality chip to make your droid come to life, Droid Depot is much more than just a souvenir shop—it’s an experience like no other! Reservations were required to experience this, but now Disney has officially announced that their system has changed.

Starting on March 17th, 2025, reservations for Droid Depot will no longer be offered. Walk-up guests will now be allowed to enjoy the experience without booking ahead of time. This will allow for more guests to build their own droids on the spot.

The Droid Depot over at Disney World inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios has announced no changes, continuing with their same reservation system. Walk-ins are accepted there too, however, you may want to make a reservation if you have your heart set on this experience since availability is not guaranteed.

Guessing that droid building has slowed down at DL to a point that reservations aren’t needed anymore and anyone can walk up and build.
