BREAKING: Lightning Lane Premier Pass SELLS OUT for the First Time in Disney World

Disney World recently introduced a NEW way to skip the lines at popular rides — at a hefty price.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass debuted on October 30th, and even though the service isn’t even a month old yet, it’s already proven to be quite popular among the parkgoers it’s offered to. So popular, in fact, that it has officially sold out for the first time!

UPDATE: Lightning Lane Premier Pass is now sold out on November 26th at Magic Kingdom as well. Check the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date availability.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass has sold out for the very first time in not one, but TWO Disney World parks. With the holiday season approaching, it’s possible this is just the start of this service selling out.

On Monday, November 25th, Lightning Lane Premier Pass is sold out for both Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. As of today, that’s the furthest date out that Premier Pass can be purchased, and we anticipate seeing this trend continue throughout Thanksgiving week and into the remainder of the holiday season.

Prior to selling out, the price for Lightning Lane Premier Pass for Magic Kingdom on November 25th was $379 per person. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Premier Pass was priced at $309 per person.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass is the newest, paid way to skip the line at Disney World. With Premier Pass, you can access each Lightning Lane in a single theme park one time. You do not need to reserve a time slot, and you just scan into the Lightning Lane of the attraction when you are ready to ride.

Unlike Disney World’s other Lightning Lane options — Multi Pass and Single Pass — you are not able to park hop with Premier Pass and can only purchase it for one park per day.

When it first rolled out, Disney World announced that this was a “pilot program” for Premier Pass, so right now, it’s only available to guests staying at Disney World Deluxe Hotels. It’s possible we could see the service expanded in the future, but in order for Premier Pass to remain exclusive, it can’t be available to everyone!

This also means we can anticipate some seriously intense crowds next week at Disney World, so if you’re visiting — make sure to pack your patience!
