The holidays are quickly approaching and that means that Disney World is expecting an increase in crowds.
Along with the crowds, we are also noticing that the prices for Disney World’s skip-the-line services are also increasing, and Lightning Lane Premier Pass is hitting an all-time high soon.
On November 28th, which is Thanksgiving Day, the price for Lightning Lane Premier Pass hits a record-breaking high. While this new service has only been around since October 30th, we are seeing it hit its newest high during the holidays.
On Thanksgiving Day, Lightning Lane Premier Pass will cost $449 in Magic Kingdom, $249 in EPCOT, $349 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and $199 in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Previously the highest prices for Premier Pass have been $399 for Magic Kingdom, $229 for EPCOT, $329 for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and $179 for Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Lightning Lane Premier Pass is the newest pay to skip the line service at Disney World. With Premier Pass, you are able to access each Lightning Lane in a single theme park one time. You do not need to reserve a time slot, and you just scan into the Lightning Lane of the attraction when you are ready to ride.
The new service offers a lot of flexibility, but it does come with a much higher price tag. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass Service allows you to make reservations for up to three select Lightning Lanes ahead of time and then you can book more as you use your selections.
With Lightning Lane Single Pass, you are able to access the Lightning Lane for one of the more popular attractions during a specific time slot. You purchase the ride a la carte and will only be able to access the specific attraction that you make the Lightning Lane Single Pass for.
The price for Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass are also seeing increases as we get closer to Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving Day will see high prices for both of these services, but we have seen the same prices before.
On Thanksgiving Day. Lightning Lane Multi Pass will cost $35 in Magic Kingdom, $21 in EPCOT, $27 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and $17 in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You can purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for $13, TRON Lightcycle / Run for $21, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind for $18, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance for $25, and Avatar Flight of Passage for $16.

So, Disney is now not only charging you to get in the Parks, but also charging you to actually be able to ride the rides! Despicable! As a Mickey Mouse club fan from the 1950’s I am disappointed that Disney has turned into just another greedy corporation . .. pricing families out of being able to afford a trip. We’ve sold our Disney stock and thinking of getting rid of our DVC membership. The MAGIC is surely gone….so sad.
Peak holiday time or not, these prices are totally out of control. I would never pay those prices. Sorry, just a Disney money grab.
Wow it’s been out a week and the raised the price 50 bucks, people need to wake up and stop buying these crazy add ons.
