Your Guide to Disney’s Oogie Boogie Bash in 2024

Spooky season is here and we are SO ready for it!

Oogie Boogie Bash

We’ve already been to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World, but now we need to talk about what’s happening at Disneyland. Spoiler alert: more Halloween fun. Tonight is the first night of Oogie Boogie Bash in Disney California Adventure, and we’re here to tell you what to expect this year.

Oogie Boogie Bash is a separately ticketed after-hours event, so you don’t need a regular park ticket to get into California Adventure if you have a party ticket. The bash takes place on select nights from now through Halloween, with ticket prices ranging from $134-$189. However, tickets have been sold out for some time now.

This is a limited ticket event, so that means most rides have lower wait times. The party also includes exclusive entertainment, merchandise, and food. Now talk specifics!

Getting Started

If you have a ticket to Oogie Boogie Bash, you can enter Disney California Adventure as early as 3PM, although the party doesn’t officially start until 6PM. The party runs until 11PM.  If you arrive early, there will be a special entrance marked for party guests, where you’ll get your Oogie Boogie Bash wristband.

You’ll also get complimentary treat bags from Cast Members when you enter. Warning, though: these bags are pretty small, and you’re going to get a LOT of candy. Pro tip: bring a bigger bag for the trick-or-treating!

You can also pick up a special event map that will include everything you need to enjoy the party. The map will guide you to all the villains trails, special character meet and greets, special entertainment, and more. You’ll want to keep this baby handy!

Treat Trails

Remember how we mentioned candy? Well, you can visit the treat trails (which will be marked on your party map) and go trick-or-treating. Along the way, you might meet some wickedly cool characters. This year, new characters like Dr. Doofenschmirtz will be on the treat trails waiting to meet you!

So you can get some great character interactions PLUS candy! It’s a win-win.

Characters

However, the treat trails aren’t the only spots you can see characters during the party. You’ll find several special character sightings and meet-and-greets throughout California Adventure. Also new this year is Hades at Hades Hideaway in Hollywood Land! He’s working to keep his cool…

…but watch out; he’s known to get a bit heated!
