If you were traveling to EPCOT this morning, you may have had to take alternate transportation than what you originally planned.
While we’ve seen transportation changes all over Disney World lately, we certainly didn’t expect to find one form of transportation to EPCOT completely down.
Finding your way around Disney World is no easy feat when the transportation is working but when it goes down, it’s even harder. Early Tuesday morning, several folks found themselves stuck on a monorail at Disney World.
While the story is developing, all we know for now is that both Reedy Creek Fire and Orange County Fire Rescue are responding to the call to evacuate those stuck on board according to WESH. We happened to notice the stuck monorail on our way to the park along with several emergency vehicles nearby.
It is reported that a Disney Spokesperson said the stop was caused by the train experiencing a flat tire near the EPCOT parking lot toll plaza. Passengers onboard also reported hearing a bang and smelling rubber.
According to FOX 35, emergency responders arrived shortly after the monorail’s brief stop at the scene and safely rescued the passengers on board reporting no injuries.

Well not surprised the monorail broke down now that the Governor put it under state control. Disney always made sure everything was in good working order.
