The 50-minute special follows The Great Gonzo as he spends one ~spooky~ night inside Disney’s Haunted Mansion and there are plenty of other celebrity guests and Muppets who end up joining him. And, now the Muppets Haunted Mansion has made its way to Disneyland Park, where guests can get a behind-the-scenes look at many of the props!
A new Muppets Haunted Mansion Display has debuted inside Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln and you won’t want to miss out on this spooky (and humorous) addition!
Inside the attraction’s lobby, Disney has added a selection of props to the Haunted Mansion exhibit that was already there. So, you’ll find the funeral wreath, tiny coffins, seance table, and more!
But, this isn’t just a fun tribute to the Muppets’ first-ever Halloween special, these are the actual props that were used so you can get a behind-the-scenes look at all the puppeteering secrets!
For example, inside the coffins, you can see the small openings where puppeteers put their hands through.
And, you’ll want to pay close attention to all of the placards that explain the props in the display.
Each one includes a short description of what the item is and then has a message from one of the Muppets cast members, and they’re sure to give you a little giggle.
You’ll even find a nod to Haunted Mansion history in Miss Piggy’s note. She mentions Imagineer Kim Irvine who is the daughter of the Imagineer that voiced and modeled for Madame Leota.
This new display won’t be here for long, so be sure to stop by Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln the next time you’re visiting to check it out! And, stay tuned to AllEars for more of the latest Disney news and updates!
