The Haunted Mansion in Disneyland is a quintessential classic Disney ride that’s been introducing us to the Happy Haunts for over 50 years!
Recently, Disney announced that the ride would be going through refurbishment starting in August, and we think the timing is a little too convenient… .
Could this be the return of Haunted Mansion Holiday? It’s been a while since we’ve seen The Nightmare Before Christmas holiday overlay at Haunted Mansion due to last year’s closures.
The festive overlay transforms the ride into a Halloween-meets-Christmas spectacular featuring the creepy characters of The Nightmare Before Christmas and the Happy Haunts of the Haunted Mansion! On the Disneyland App, you can see that the refurbishment is listed starting on August 16th.
And, the final day of the refurb is on September 2nd. It’s a quick refurbishment, but if you’re visiting Disneyland on these dates, you won’t be able to ride this iconic attraction.
This has not been confirmed by Disney yet, but if these refurbishments are actually preparing for Haunted Mansion Holiday, we’re excited to see the return of this Disney Christmas (and Halloween!) tradition!
