Since the Disney Skyliner first opened, there have been a few instances of gondolas crashing into one another. While these occurrences are very rare, they have taken place, causing a disruption along the Skyliner route.

We’re staring to hear and see reports that there has been yet another crash at a Skyliner station this evening.
Twitter user @camerondudeck shared two photos of the Skyliner station where the crash reportedly took place.

There has been no official update from Disney World as of this writing regarding the Skyliner’s availability or whether or not it is currently operating.

Twitter user @arendellekel shared her experience while on the Skyliner when it was shut down. She shared that she was in a gondola when the line stopped, but was off within 30 to 45 minutes. She also shared that once she was off of the Skyliner, Disney was giving out cold water and $25 gift cards to guests that had been stuck.
Update: @WaltDisneyWorld you are the BEST! We got off the Skyliner and were given ice cold water and $25 gift cards. We left our umbrella because I ran out of there so fast. They gave me a free one and gave us passes to enjoy EPCOT this evening. Love, love, LOVE you, Disney! ❤️

We are coming to WDW from SoCal Jul 29 to Aug 3. I hope they have the Skyliner solved by then and that Typhoon Lagoon is reopened! Regardless, we are excited to go to visit WDW (and Universal, Busch Gardens, and Sea World Aug 4 to 11).
