BREAKING: Universal Orlando Will No Longer Require Face Masks Indoors

Earlier this month, Universal Orlando Resort changed their face mask policy, no longer requiring guests to wear face masks in most outdoor common areas.

The policy still required the use of masks in queues (both indoor and outdoor), as well as on rides, and in other indoor spaces. But, beginning tomorrow, Universal will once again be updating its face mask policy.

Starting tomorrow, May 29th, Universal Orlando will no longer require fully vaccinated guests to wear face masks both indoors and outdoors around the resort. And, according to Universal’s website, they will not require proof of vaccination.

Universal will still require that guests who are not fully vaccinated continue to wear face masks indoors though they can be removed when outdoors in accordance with Universal’s previous mask update.

The update will be joining other recent changes to Universal Orlando’s health and safety guidelines, including reduced social distancing measures to 3 feet and the elimination of temperature checkpoints from earlier this month.

Social distancing guidelines have been updated at Universal Orlando.

And, over at Volcano Bay face masks have not been required since Universal originally relaxed the guidelines. So, guests visiting the water park still do not need to wear masks in the park or while on the bus to and from.
