Update: As of Sunday afternoon, both parks have reopened.
Holiday weekends are usually busy in theme parks, but Universal Orlando has hit capacity MULTIPLE times this past week.

The parks were busy at the beginning of the week as March finished its last few days of the month and April began. As Easter weekend kicked off, the trend continued as guests celebrated with their family and friends in the parks. Now that we’ve given you a sneak peek into what the capacity crowds look like in Universal Orlando and how to handle them, we hope you’re ready to use that knowledge during yet ANOTHER bustling day.
Universal Orlando has notified guests that the parks have reached capacity as of 11:47 AM today. Currently, Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure are closed to additional guests, but hope to reopen later this afternoon.

Universal’s Volcano Bay is still open to guests, though, so you can opt to take a dip in the pool or visit one of the many waterslides instead. And, you can stay tuned to AllEars for a look at the other Universal news you need to know!
