It has been over 55 years since The Sounds of Music premiered in theaters.
To this day, the movie is watched by both young and old generations, remaining a timeless story. After the movie’s release, many stars of the film went on to have quite successful careers, including Christopher Plummer who played Captain John Von Trapp.
Today, Deadline reported that Christopher Plummer passed away at age 91. In addition to his role in the classic musical, Disney fans might recognize him from his role as the voice of Charles F. Muntz in Pixar’s Up!.
In addition to these two roles, you can find Plummer in a variety of other movies streaming on Disney+ including National Treasure. Plummer leaves a strong legacy behind having starred in more than 100 films and Broadway musicals.
