Cirque du Soleil has had a presence in Disney Springs for years.

The opening of Cirque du Soleil’s newest show, Drawn to Life, was supposed to open in Disney Springs in March 2020, but the global pandemic put a halt to most live entertainment for the time being. Now we have news that one of Cirque du Soleil’s most well-known shows has permanently closed in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Sun has reported that after a 17-year run, Cirque du Soleil’s Zumanity will close for good. Cirque officials have stated that while Zumanity will not reopen, they intend to reopen their other Las Vegas shows (including The Beatles LOVE and Michael Jackson ONE) as soon as possible.

Back at Disney Springs, Drawn to Life, which is currently set to reopen February 10th, 2021, has been delayed multiple times. Cirque du Soleil even filed for bankruptcy protection earlier this year, which had us wondering about the future of the Disney Springs show.

For now, the fact that tickets are on sale for shows beginning on February 10th, 2021, it looks like Drawn to Life is still set to open then. We’ll be keeping an eye on this and will report any new changes.

I love Cirque. They produce such awe inspiring spectacles. Sorry to hear they’ve fallen on such hard times.
