Orlando residents are currently under a stay at home order and Orange County Mayor, Jerry Demings, recently commented on how long he expects restrictions to stay in place

According to Click Orlando ( a division of Orlando’s CBS affiliate), Demings stated local hospitals are starting to see a “daily reduction in the number of patients being admitted and placed in intensive care.” However, local-area businesses are still feeling the significant impacts of the current events.

Demings speculates “given the models, it could be June — early June — where we see some relaxing of the restrictions in place. But they would have to stay in place to some degree through late summer.”

He stated he understands how important it is for people to resume work, but that he is not looking to put anyone in danger as a result of lifting the restrictions too early.
