AMC Theatres Have Changed Their Ticket Policy During Closure

With Disney World temporarily closing, you might be wondering what there is to do if you’re visiting!

And, while we’ve got a full list for you on everything open over the next few weeks, watching a movie in Disney Springs is going to look a bit different.

AMC Theatres will be taking precautions against the virus by limiting their seating to only 50% of normal capacity from March 14th through April 30th.

The theatres will be doing this to promote social distancing, so the screenings will be labeled as “sold out” when they hit that 50% capacity mark. As another preventative measure, there will be more cleaning protocols enforced to protect guests. On top of the routine theatre cleaning between each showtime, “high touch point areas” like doorknobs, counter tops, glass, handrails, kiosks, and restroom areas will be cleaned at least once an hour.

To ensure that everyone stays healthy, AMC Theatres encourages their employees to stay home if they feel sick and advises visitors to do the same. Although we’ll have to wait until the end of the month for Disney World to open again, you can still enjoy your time in Disney World by catching a movie in Disney Springs!
