I took this from the 12th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort back in 2008. I remember watching when Walt Disney World first opened in 1971 and saw monorails going in and out of this huge A-framed resort. I thought to my 12 year old self back then, the future has arrived. Years later, I enjoyed dining in the Grand Canyon Concourse and watched as monorails quietly moved overhead with similar thoughts. A Back to the Future kind of Disney Pic of the Week for me about Resorts-Indoors.

  1. Look how well the carpet compliments the colors on the wall. Small detail that really shows from this vantage point. I Love the details.

    Scott replies: Thanks, Rob!

  2. Woah! Disorienting. It took me a while to realize what I was looking at. I love this perspective. You don’t often get a view of the carpet and it adds so much to the mural.

Scott replies: I had to make sure I secured my camera. This area has changed a lot since the photo was taken. Will have to re-visit it my next time down.
