Tips for families at 2014 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Posted onMy family and I have been attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom since my son and daughter were babies. It's been more than a decade since our first party! In that time, there have been changes, for sure, but many staples are still part of the evening. Having experienced the Halloween fun with my children at all different ages, I would like to offer some tips for families.

Posted onThis year, Halloween at Walt Disney World begins even earlier than usual. Typically, the resort offers its first Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party during the second week of September. This, year, the first party is Sept. 1 -- that's next Monday! Presumably, the early date is planned to catch guests vacationing at the resort for Labor Day weekend.
Expect to see the fall decorations going up along Main Street, U.S.A., this week and throughout the Magic Kingdom, where the party takes place. Already, we saw plenty of Halloween merchandise at The Emporium over the weekend, and the store has two of its window displays dedicated to the upcoming holiday.
2013 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party offers new treats
Posted onTypically, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the annual after-hours fall event at the Magic Kingdom, changes only slightly from year to year. This week, however, Walt Disney World officials announced some sure-to-thrill additions to the 2013 entertainment line-up. Among the changes, characters Jack Skellington and Sally (from Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas") will make their debut appearance at the party.
