NEWS: Two Potential Storm Systems Could Develop in the Atlantic

If you’re heading to Disney World in the summer or early fall, you’ll want to be prepared for bad weather.

Central Florida often has daily thunderstorms during the summertime, and on top of that, hurricane season affects the area for many of the summer and fall months. That’s why we keep a close eye on the weather — to keep you in the loop about any big storms!

Fox 35 reports that two tropical disturbances have formed in the Atlantic Ocean and are being tracked currently by the National Hurricane Center. Both have relatively low chances of developing in the next 7 days.

The first tropical disturbance is located in the western Atlantic a few hundred miles southeast of Bermuda. It’s producing a small area of disorganized thunderstorms and only has a 10% chance of development.

The second tropical disturbance is located in the central tropical Atlantic, west of Africa. This one has a slightly higher 20% chance of development.

We’ll continue to keep an eye on both disturbances and see if they develop further. If you’re traveling to the area soon, you may want to be prepared in case of bad weather, but the chance of major storms is still pretty low.
