How Tall Is Olaf?

Olaf has quickly become a fan-favorite Disney character!

Audiences were introduced to Olaf, the magically animated snowman who loves warm hugs in Disney’s 2013 Frozen.

In that groundbreaking film, we meet Olaf, a quirky snowman whom Elsa has brought to life with her magical, frosty powers. A childhood friend who played with both Anna and Elsa, he instantly endeared himself to audiences.

If you’re wondering about Olaf’s height, that is the question we are looking at today! And — ?spoiler alert? — we’re not super clear!

This Disney LEGO display at Disney Springs shows that Olaf doesn’t quite reach Elsa’s waist. He’s likely around 3 feet tall.

Judging from this frame from the film Frozen 2, which shows Olaf next to the other main characters, Anna, Elsa, Christoph, and Sven, Olaf doesn’t quite measure up to the waist of Anna or Elsa, consistent with the LEGO Olaf, above.

That would put him around 2 feet, or perhaps 2 feet and a couple of inches tall.

What about the Olaf we meet in Disney Parks? How tall is he?

We know, based on hiring practices at the Disney Parks, Olaf stands around 4’10 or under.

But that’s not all! There are other Olafs that we can spot around the parks and even Disney Cruise Line. During the holidays in EPCOT, you can spot a “toy sized” Olaf all around World Showcase.

You can also interact with his golden statue in EPCOT near the entrance to World Showcase.

And if you’re on the Disney Cruise Line, you can spot him at a uniquely Frozen dinner experience, Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure.

Does Olaf grow when it’s cold and shrink or melt in hot Orlando sun? Who knows. But what we do know is that ❄️Olaf is magical❄️ and that’s one-size, fits all!
