WARNING: Bedbugs Are Currently Infesting Paris

When you’re traveling, there are a variety of things you need to plan for, and maybe, worry about.

You’ll want to make sure that your luggage meets TSA regulations and that you’ve got all your travel documents in order. You’ll want to try and secure the best deals on your flight and hotels. But recently, travelers to one popular destination have had to prepare for an entirely different problem.

According to CNN, France is currently dealing with an outbreak of bedbugs in the Paris area. In a video on Instagram, the news outlet shares that the bugs have infested public transportation, movie theaters, and even the airport.

Visitors and locals have shared videos of the bugs in a variety of locations, and the infestation complicates things for Paris — the city where the 2024 Olympics are being held next year.

Pest control companies have seen a higher volume of requests, but the fix for an infestation can be costly. Bedbugs spread easily and like to hide in soft fabrics like mattresses and upholstery.
