Health and safety measures at Universal Orlando have been changing a lot recently.

On May 6th, Universal removed their temperature screening areas and reduced social distancing guidelines to 3ft. And, now their guidelines are set to change again in response to new CDC face mask guidelines.
Universal Orlando has announced that all guests will no longer be required to wear face masks when outdoors in Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.

They will still mandate that face masks be worn in queues (even if it’s an outdoor queue) and when inside shops, restaurants, rides, or other indoor areas, though outside they will not be needed. And, unlike other theme parks that have removed mask requirements for only those who are fully vaccinated, the new guidelines in Universal will apply to all guests regardless of their vaccination status.

Over at Volcano Bay, the face mask requirements will be relaxed even further, no longer requiring that face masks be worn anywhere in the park, including the bus to and from the water park.

The new mask policies will go into place at all three Universal parks and CityWalk tomorrow, May 15th, and there will be new signage to indicate the change and team members will also be reminding guests of this when they enter the parks.
