Kilimanjaro Safari Welcomes Pelican Chicks

At Disney's Animal Kingdom, two pink-backed pelican chicks have hatched. Named for the color their backs turn during mating season, these birds fledge 70-85 days after hatching. As long as the nest remains intact, the pelicans will return to the same nest year after year.
