This Map Shows 5 Oddly Efficient Shortcuts at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Shhh, don’t tell anyone, but I’m about to spill some of the BEST shortcuts in one of Disney World’s most crowded parks!

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

We’ve done this post already in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, sharing some of our favorite shortcuts to navigate the parks more easily. Unfortunately, Hollywood Studios doesn’t have quite as many time-saving shortcuts or “secret” paths to share. But the ones the park does have? They might help you out when you’re in a pinch…so let’s dive in!

Sunset Boulevard

Starting our list, we’ve got two shortcuts that could help you out when Sunset Boulevard is particularly crowded or when there’s bad weather. On the left side of the street, you can cut through the outdoor seating area at Sunset Ranch Market and come out by the entrance to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

Sunset Boulevard

On the right side of the street, you could walk through Legends of Hollywood and Once Upon a Time to avoid the rain or crowded streets. There is a small gap between the stores by the restrooms.

Hollywood Boulevard

Trying to save some time and avoid the crowds on Hollywood Boulevard? Cut in front of The Hollywood Brown Derby. There’s a staircase next to the restaurant (in front of what used to be Starring Rolls Cafe) that takes you to Sunset Boulevard.

Hollywood Boulevard

You could cut off the entire corner by using this pathway, walking from Animation Courtyard to Sunset Boulevard. This one’s a pretty popular shortcut, though.

Echo Lake

In the Echo Lake area, one of the better ways to get places is by taking Commissary Lane. This walkway goes past ABC Commissary and the meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie.

Commissary Lane

It’s mostly just used by people trying to get to the meet-and-greet or the two restaurants in that area, but it’s a great way to cut between the Star Wars offerings and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

Galaxy’s Edge

And speaking of Star Wars, we’ve got a Galaxy’s Edge shortcut for you that doesn’t show up on the map! If you’re looking at the map, you’ll think that the marketplace is entirely indoors. Well, it’s actually an indoor-outdoor hybrid with a pathway that cuts through to Ronto Roasters.

Galaxy’s Edge shortcut

You can enter the marketplace by the restrooms, walk past the shopping stalls, and through Ronto Roasters to shortcut over to Docking Bay 7, Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, and the Millennium Falcon. It’s also the more scenic route!

Parking Lot

Last but not least, I’ve got a shortcut OUTSIDE the park. If you’re parking in the Mickey Mouse or Buzz Lightyear lots and walking into the park, there’s often a crosswalk open near the front of the Mickey lot. If this pathway is available, it’ll take you in front of the Minnie Mouse lot, cutting off the corner and some of the long trek to security.

In the parking lot

Even though these aren’t as much of time savers as the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT shortcuts, they could help you out when it’s raining or when you’re hoping to enjoy a bit more scenery. Just keep them in mind during your next visit!
