This Risky Hotel Hack Saved Me HUNDREDS at Disney World

I love staying at a Disney World hotel. From the Cast Members greeting me at the door, to the best smelling shampoo ever, I just love everything about it — well, almost everything about it.

Contemporary Resort Rooms

The pricetag is not something you can ignore when booking. It’s likely one of the highest costs of your trip, especially if you plan on staying for a longer period of time. There’s one way to save hundreds on your Disney World hotel, but you’re going to have to leave their website to do it.

Meet Priceline, an online travel agency that helps find discounted flights, hotels, and car rentals, and yes, this includes hotels at Disney World. There are two ways to book for Disney World: one where you pick your dates, find a hotel, and book it, or the Express Deals way.

All Star Movies

The first way is pretty standard, and while the rooms might be discounted, you might not see any major savings or much of a difference between Priceline and the Disney World website. The real magic comes with the Express Deals, where the hotel isn’t revealed until after you pay. Kinda risky, right?

There’s also another risk: the rooms are nonrefundable, and you can’t change the dates. Eek! Once you pay, you’re committed. While it could be a Disney World hotel, it could also be one nearby, like Wyndham Bonnet Creek.

Here’s how to book!

    • Enter “Orlando, FL” in the “Where to?” section
    • Select the dates and number of travelers
    • Select “Find Your Hotel”
    • Use those filters!
      • Sort by the lowest price and narrow down the neighborhoods to Disney World — Bonnet Creek, and Walt Disney World — Disney Springs

Sometimes with a bit of investigating, you can figure out where the hotel is. You might be able to figure them out by the guest ratings, and compare the prices on Priceline to the hidden hotels. You can also check out the amenities like a spa or fitness center.

One of our team members here at AllEars grabbed an Express Deal at All-Star Movies for $99 a night. Incredible! This is also a fun way to do it if you’ve been to Disney World before and don’t care what hotel you stay in — it’s like a game!
