Are our ears deceiving us, or did we just hear that a new Top Gun-themed attraction is coming to Las Vegas?!

It looks like we’ll be flying straight into the danger zone, because it looks like a new experience based on the iconic 1986 Tom Cruise film and its sequel, Top Gun: Maverick, will be coming in a couple of years!
It was announced that Paramount Pictures is working with Advent Allen Entertainment to bring a Top Gun thrill ride to life. The new Top Gun experience is set to debut on the famous Las Vegas Strip in 2028. The experience will be a multilevel building featuring “a high-performance flight-themed thrill ride fusing cinematic storytelling, precision motion technology and immersive media,” per People. “The complex will also include the Hard Deck restaurant and bar, as well as multiple interactive zones.” It’s kind of like a mini Top Gun land!

Advent Allen will be working alongside Simtec Systems GmbH, a leader in motion simulation and ride design and manufacturing, to bring the project to life. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Simtec Systems and their brilliant team of engineers and designers to bring this extraordinary vision to life,” said co-founder of Advent Allen and leader in the casino and hotel industries, Mark Advent.

He continued to say, “Selecting the right partner for one of Top Gun Las Vegas’ signature attractions was a pivotal decision. Simtec’s unparalleled expertise perfectly complements our mission to create an entertainment experience that pushes boundaries and captivates ride-goers worldwide.”

Other than the fact that the attraction will be inspired by Top Gun and expected to open in 2028, we don’t know much else. However, the creators are apparently looking to add a second location in Orlando. “We’re incredibly optimistic about what’s ahead and grateful for our ongoing partnership with Paramount,” said co-founder of Advent Allen and former CEO of Bloomin’ Brands, Bill Allen. “This is just the beginning — together, we’re taking Top Gun into the stratosphere.”
