Get your party hats ready — Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary is only a little over a month away!
Set your alarms, everybody, because May 16th will be the start date of Disneyland’s MASSIVE celebration. A beloved parade will return, we’re getting brand-new shows, and so much more! Disney just revealed some more 70th Anniversary goodies, but you get to take these home.
What’s a celebration without exclusive merchandise?! Disney just released a sneak peek at some of Disneyland’s 70th merchandise coming for the celebration, and we are freaking out over it! The merch lineup consists of four, yes FOUR, collections. There is literally a collection for everyone, and we aren’t exaggerating when we say we must have it all!
For Disney fans looking for colorful party merchandise, the Celebration Collection is for you! Some of the merchandise will feature beloved characters and iconic Disneyland attraction designs. From apparel to accessories, there will be a wide variety of options for you to take home. We have no doubt everyone will want in on taking a piece of the 70th Anniversary home! The collection will also have other fun items, like brand-new bubble wands. The wands will have a new feature, with interchangeable character heads. Each head will make different sounds and light effects. The celebration collection will also feature new Loungefly and Dooney & Bourke items! All this is in one collection, and we have more? Disney fans are eating good!
Also a part of the Celebration Collection, we can’t forget to mention the brand-new 70th Anniversary MagicBand! You’ll want to wear this thing during the whole celebration and then after. The MagicBand features the 70th Anniversary colors and Mickey and Minnie on the sides of the band. We love this thing!
The next collection revealed is truly fit for royalty. With Sleeping Beauty’s castle being the centrepiece of Disneyland for 70 years, the Castle Collection was meant to be! This collection will have many items from clothing to accessories — including exclusive 70th Anniversary jewelry by Rebecca Hook. This beautiful collection is so good that we would’ve only seen it in one other place, once upon a dream!
The Vault Collection is for those who just can’t shake that nostalgic Disney feel out of them…so, everyone! This merchandise has a nostalgic design to celebrate and pay homage to the Disneyland of yesterday. The unique part about this collection is that Disney stated the collection will have various releases happening throughout the celebration, so the collection has chapters! We have already had a look at the first two chapters. The first is the Replica Chapter, merchandise that will be “retro-inspired”. The second chapter, Mickey Mouse & Maps, is designed and dedicated to classic Disneyland Park maps.
Speaking of nostalgia, we’re going even deeper into nostalgic Disney with the Walt Disney Nostalgia Collection. Of course, what series of collections is complete without one dedicated to the man who started it all? The merchandise is designed around honoring Walt and his park’s rich history! The collection is said to also feature famous Disneyland quotes from Walt Disney. Disney hinted there will be collectibles similar to what could’ve been found on the legend’s desk in his office. Yep, we’re getting our hands on that as soon as possible!
Other exclusive 70th-anniversary merchandise will include Bulova and Pandora jewelry, as well as a 70th Medallion Collection. Also, get your hands on what might be THE Disneyland 70th souvenir, the Key to Disneyland. An item that you’ll use to unlock chests around the park to earn special surprises!
