What’s the worst part of a long flight? Easy. Trying to get comfortable! For those of us who can’t chill out in a First Class seat, it can be a real struggle to relax in your seat.

So, what’s a weary traveler to do? Well, we tested two viral airplane neck pillows from Amazon, and we have THOUGHTS. Let’s see who came out on top.
OK, up first is this nifty thing called a Neck Donut. Catchy name? Check. Thick, plush appearance? Check.

Yes, when we tried it on, we noticed it looked a little like a neck brace. But don’t worry—it’s pretty similar to a regular neck pillow. This one holds its shape, folds up easily, and is pretty comfortable! That said, after a while, our neck started feeling a little stiff.

At the end of the day, this is a pretty basic travel pillow. It’s a little bulky when it’s fully unfolded out of the bag, so be prepared. If you’re looking for a comfortable, basic travel pillow, you should be able to fall asleep easily with this product.
Now, this is where things get interesting. We also tested the famous Trtl(like a turtle) product on Amazon, and this one blew us away.

This isn’t your standard neck pillow. It’s more of a headrest, with soft fabric and a sturdy side to lean on. Admittedly, we were skeptical at first, but after hearing SO MANY great reviews, we splurged.

Our thoughts? We LOVED it! Yes, it is more expensive than the Neck Donut, but when you’re spending HOURS on a plane, your comfort should be forgotten. The best way to describe the feeling of using this is like resting your head on someone’s shoulder. In fact, this pillow is designed to completely remove any neck stiffness or discomfort so you can sleep for hours — upright!! — without any pain when the pillow comes off.

We tend to wake up stiff and uncomfortable after long flights, so this product is a game-changer. Plus, it’s comfy and easy to use with headphones and eye masks.
In the battle of Trtl vs. the Neck Donut, the Trtl came out on top. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest travel products, so stay tuned for more.
