The wardrobe teams have been hard at work crafting a brand new vibrant design that they hoped would increase safety and visibility for their fellow cast members. Oh, did we mention they’re also made with recycled materials?

There are also name tag pouches that even come out of the pocket while storing the cast member’s name tag making it super easy to switch with weather changes.

The long-sleeved shirt can roll up the material of the sleeve, can be cuffed into place for a versatile short-sleeve look, and is also made out of recycled plastic material. The shirt material has built-in UPF or sun protection since they’re typically out in the sun all day.

When asked about how they feel about the new costumes, one cast member, Ali, said “I really like it! It’s colorful and it’s light and breezy.”

She then went on to explain that often times they hear park visitors commenting how they would have had more photos taken but didn’t spot them as easily through the day. She hopes that the new costumes will help change that so they can take even more pictures for park visitors now.

We’re very impressed with the design of the new PhotoPass Cast Member costumes in Disneyland so we’ll be curious to see how this improves safety and visibility for them to continue capturing memories for park visitors. Stay tuned with us at AllEars for the latest in Disney news and updates!
