The ONE Major Factor You’re Not Considering About Disney’s New Tiana’s Palace Restaurant

A BRAND NEW restaurant is coming to Disneyland soon, but there’s one important thing you’re forgetting about it. Don’t worry — we’re here to help.

Tiana’s Palace restaurant opens in Disneyland Park on September 7th (taking the place of the French Market Restaurant). It’ll have all kinds of new food inspired by New Orleans (of course), special Cast Member costumes, and hidden details and easter eggs. But there’s one important thing you’re forgetting about this spot.

With all the talk of house-filled beignets (we tried one that was filled with a lemon ice box pie filling and folks, you will NOT want to miss it)…

…and a Ray Glow Cube (HOW CUTE IS HE?!), you might automatically assume that this restaurant is going to become the next hard-to-get dining reservation in Disneyland. But you’d be WRONG for one very specific reason.

HOW FUN

This restaurant is NOT a Table Service restaurant — meaning there are NO reservations required!

This is actually a Counter Service (also called Quick Service) restaurant, so you’ll be able to walk right on in, order your food, and take it to a table to sit down and eat.

No need to anxiously check your phone for reservation availability — this spot will be accessible to everyone without that. Now, that’s not to say that this spot won’t be very popular. It could be especially popular due to its theme, its newness, its unique food options, its special details, and more.

People might just want to stroll on through to see things like the new mural or hunt for easter eggs.

Disney has also talked about how it’s meant to deliver Table Service quality eats in a Quick Service environment, so that could draw in a LOT of folks.

Eats coming to Tiana’s Palace

This could all lead to some LONG lines to order your food and perhaps some tough time scoring the perfect table. But it will still be a place you won’t need a reservation for — and that does make things a little easier.

Plus, Mobile Order (via the Disneyland app) will be available here once the restaurant opens! So you could cut down on potential time spent in line by using that feature — making things even easier.

Tiana’s Palace

While there are plenty of great Table Service restaurants in Disneyland, it will certainly be nice to have another spot to visit for quick eats. You won’t have to take a huge chunk out of your park day to get great theming and great food — a big perk!
