If you’ve ever dreamed of eating in a restaurant themed to the world of Coco, get ready to book a flight ASAP.

Disneyland Paris is in the process of transforming one of its existing restaurants to an updated spot called Casa de Coco — Restaurante de Familia! Disney previously shared a look at this dining location, but now we’ve got a peek at some easter eggs inspired by the film and the restaurant’s opening date!
First up, let’s talk opening date. The new Coco-themed restaurant will open soon — on July 29th at Disneyland Paris!

Now, let’s get to the details. This sounds like it’ll REALLY be an epic location for Coco fans. The Imagineers worked with the Disneyland Paris team and Pixar Animation to bring this whole spot to life.

Once you step into the terrace area of the restaurant, you’ll find Miguel in statue form! He’s dressed in “traditional mariachi charro” and is actually a life-size statue. Listen closely while you’re in this spot — you might hear some traditional Mexican music or even the Remember Me song from the film.

Inside the patio part of the restaurant, look UP! That’s where you’ll find colorful papel picados. This is a traditional Mexican decoration featuring elaborate designs cut into paper. Nearly 200(!) papel picados were created by Imagineers for this restaurant! They feature designs inspired by Mexican folklore, music, and flowers.

Next, let’s head further inside the restaurant — that’s where you’ll find some designs of alebrijes — the spirit guides to the Land of the Dead.
There is a HUGE carved alebrije that looks very much like the alebrije version of Dante by the counter…

…and in the restaurant, you’ll find another design that looks like Pepita.

One part of the restaurant appears to be called “La Sala de Musica.” That’s where you’ll find some references to Miguel’s family heritage and musical instruments.
You’ll find Hector’s guitar here and you will even be able to read notes from pages of his diary in the back of the room — how cool is that?!

Also in the Sala de Familia, you’ll find portraits of some of Miguel’s family members and things that represent the family’s trade — shoemaking (like shoemaker’s tools and shoe boxes).
