Now, Disney is looking to not only reduce waste created in the parks, but to try to find eco-friendly ways to dispose of and recycle wastes responsibly.

Disneyland posted on their @disneylandcastandcommunity Instagram an image of their new waste bin, with a receptacle specifically for food waste that will be recycled into organic farm nutrients.

These new trash bins earned a 2021 SEAL Business Sustainability Award. SEAL stands for Honoring Sustainability, Environmental Acheivement and Leadership. Disneyland Resort was one of 38 organizations recognized for their environmental endeavors, alongside other notable companies like PepsiCo, Atlas Renewable Energy, and Samsung for their leadership, innovation, and commitment to sustainable business practices.

This new ambition to strive for zero-waste and recycle and compost as much waste as possible will help ensure a great, big, beautiful tomorrow for everyone. So, it seems only appropriate that these new waste bins be tested out in Tomorrowland!
