Contributing photographer Jason of disneygeek.com sends us these photos from his trip to the parks on Friday, June 12, 2015.
I arrived at the Disneyland Resort this afternoon a bit later than usual thanks to traffic and work. Here’s the Word of the Day board as I entered. Note only one attraction listed as closed: Peter Pan. They did not list the two theaters that were closed.
The Disney Gallery features Drawing Disneyland the Early Years. Here is a sampling of the exhibit.
Each land is represented with drawings and a featured artist. Tomorrowland featured John Hench.
There is a sign for land/artist
And a picture of them, in most cases with Walt.
Frontierland – Sam McKim
For the 60th anniversary, most (maybe all) of the pressed penny machines received new designs. Here is one in the exit area of the Opera House.
Took a quick look in the Jolly Holiday Bakery and there is a large cupcake advertising the special 60th one. This is a Diamond Celebration Cupcake – Lemon Cupcake, White Chocolate Crunchy Pearls, Strawberry Filling, White Chocolate Champagne Mousse and White Chocolate Pearls Silver Coated for $5.99 plus tax. (for the regular size not the large display one)
They are transitioning to the All American Round-up for the summer.
The BBQ has switched over to the All American Round-up and Barbecue already.
A new photo spot for the Diamond Celebration featuring Big Thunder opened today on the Big Thunder trail.
Like the others it is a forced perspective op. Here is the front view.
The smoking area has been closed along the trail. If you want to smoke you are limited to the smoking area in Fantasyland near Matterhorn or the one along the Rivers of America, but that one closes early for Fantasmic! The park is getting closer to being smoke-free.
Tomorrow Landing features Marvel merchandise now
The line for the Avenger meet and greet was posted as 30 minutes.
The Tomorrowland Sneak Peek has closed at the Magic Eye Theatre. No indication of what is coming next. Ant-Man is going into DCA so it will not be that.
The movie prop exhibit has closed too.

Buzz Lightyear has FastPass again. The two machines on the far right are for Buzz, the others are for Star Tours.
Star Wars balloons are available now.
The second new Emporium Window was unveiled recently. It features Cinderella, and there are two scenes that it rotates between. One is the balllroom and the other the garden/transformation.
A video clip of the window in action. I really need to stop by after dark or find a time with less glare.
A look at the Peter Pan window across the walkway.
The Bugs Theater is closed as they prepare for Ant-Man.
Ghirardelli has a new display featuring chocolate-covered fruits and nuts. It was installed earlier this week. The chocolates are $9.95 per half-pound
A Disneyland 60th photo spot for Screamin’. This opened several weeks ago.
The current Disneyland Resort photo book, this one found in Off the Page.
The display window facing the restrooms has been updated for the 60th. The old TV is gone.

A quick program note: The Disneyland Resort All-American College Band starts next week. Here are their sets at Disneyland. Plus a 3 p.m. one at the Hollywood Land Backlot Stage in DCA.
Paint the Night making its way down Main Street USA
The Little Green Men have their own float now. I believe this was added within the last week.
