I love looking at your photos and wondered if you use a tripod in the parks to get the evening shots?
Scott replies: Waving from America!
In this instance, I was hand holding using a vibration reducing lens and high ISO. It was a bit noisy so I cleaned it up using Noise Ninja. Had I used a tripod, it would have come out better.
Search for my blog on using tripods at Disney parks. It’s not as hard is peiple think.
Last time I took a photo of the castle from the railroad station (in a rather harried shoot, I must admit), I could not avoid the flagpole. How did you do?
Scott replies: I know what you mean, Luis. To get the flag pole out of my camera’s line of sight, I moved to the right about where the stairs come up to the platform and then zoomed in. This took the flag pole out of my viewfinder and is also why you see some of Main Street USA’s buildings in the foreground. Hope this helps!
I wonder if I saw you taking that picture with a tripod at the train station on 8/13, if not I hope the gentleman I saw got a picture as nice as yours. Mine was taken with a handheld Canon power shot and came out blurry. I have trouble getting non-blurry when I zoom to fill the frame in night shots.
Scott replies: No, Vanessa, that wasn’t me. I took this back in February of this year.
My favorite thing to photograph at WDW is the castle, and this is truly fabulous! Beautiful photo indeed, the castle has so many facets to it, with colors etc……
