Have you seen Up: A Great Bird Adventure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom?
The new show premiered just last year, replacing Flights of Wonder. But is it already flying away?
We think so — but only for a few weeks! (At least initially.)
According to My Disney Experience, there are no showtimes for Up: A Great Bird Adventure starting September 8 through September 21.
Starting September 22, the website shows five times daily for a week… and then is blank again for the rest of the year.
Has Disney just not decided on the showtimes yet? Is the theater going under refurbishment? Are the birds going on a family vacation together? Will Russell and Dug take over the Finding Nemo show during the downtime?
Only time will tell — but don’t get your feathers ruffled. We will keep you posted!

Flights of Wonder was excellent. Entertaining, funny, and a better showcase for the birds. Up is a big dud.
we’re due to see this sep 7, so at least we’ll see it
Flights of Wonder really only needed just a little bit of refreshing. It was a wonderful experience and I was in tears every time the brought out the beautiful eagle. Now it’s been ruined in order to “leverage Disney’s intellectual properties.” I loved “UP” but why cheapen this beautiful show with people in ugly costumes awkwardly interacting with the CM show host? Ugh.
I hope they bring back Flights of Wonder. I really enjoyed the show.
i haven’t seen the UP show but i tend to agree, flights of wonder was great the way it was
I agree completely. Flights of Wonder was always an enjoyable show but Up was painful to sit through. Much less time spent showing the birds. Why not have a bird show that just shows off the birds and not all the filler?
