Pandora Utility Suit Pandora – The World of Avatar Disney’s Animal Kingdom

A new interactive entertainment offering is set to debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on April 22 in Pandora – The World of Avatar. According to the entertainment storyline, the Pandora Conservation Initiative (PCI) has created a 10-foot-tall Pandora Utility Suit used to study the wildlife, collect plant samples, and survive Pandora’s terrain. The design of the suit is inspired by the Amplified Mobility Platform (AMP) suits of power armor from the film AVATAR. This 4.2-ton mechanical Utility Suit was created in a partnership between Lightstorm Entertainment, Disney Parks Live Entertainment, Michael Curry Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering. You will be able to interact with its pilot, who is strapped into the cockpit of the exo-carrier and controls its powerful, yet agile movements. The giant walking suit was designed with articulated hands and a shoulder span of more than five feet. It also bears claw marks and battle scars from a Thanator – an alpha predator on Pandora. Be sure to check the Times Guide or the My Disney Experience App the day of your visit for the latest information.
