Disney Adventure Theme

The Disney Adventure ship has been one we’ve had our eyes on (virtually of course) for a while. We’ve been hunting down any tiny detail and bit of news we can find which felt like it was at a standstill as of late. But, Disney’s latest announcement is bringing us multiple new details (and characters) on board that make us even more excited to see it up close!

When the Disney Adventure cruise ship finally takes to the seas it will mark so many firsts for Disney Cruise Line. Not only will this ship be based out of Singapore but it will also be welcoming two new firsts of its kind!

As you make your way up the staircase, you’re greeted by a quaint courtyard surrounded by cascading trees designed to look like storybook cut-outs. If you look real close, you might even be able to spot a Sorcerer Mickey topiary orchestrating the gardens!

That’s not all that’s new here though! Disney Cruise Line is bringing us it’s first castle at sea!

©Disney

This beautiful artwork will feature a storybook castle that draws inspiration from both real and imaginary castles near and far. Taking a closer look you might even be able to spot a few nods to the Walt Disney Pictures castle, Sleeping Beauty’s castle at Disneyland Paris and Rapunzel’s castle, as well as influences from sketches done by incredible Disney artists. The Disney Imagination Garden castle will be three decks tall and will sit above a decorative waterfall so be sure to check it out when you board!

The Garden Stage is newly announced area found within the Disney Imagination Garden. This area is set to become the central hub of the Disney Adventure that will “transport guests into the pages of beloved Disney stories alongside their favorite characters.” Disney also revealed it’s one of seven uniquely themed areas coming to the ship that will transform your onboard experience like never before. It’s expected to be a lively open-air space where it’s on board guests will be treated to the theatrical stage we just mentioned for the upcoming show, two quick-service restaurants, a bar, and several garden-view staterooms.

©Disney

The theming here is set to resemble a classic pop-up storybook, where Disney Imagination Garden’s “playful, paper cut-out styled landscapes” will be overflowing with flowers, shaped topiaries, trees and several vines giving it that cozy garden feel.

This ship is totally different from Disney’s current ships and will include seven themed areas, one of them being San Fransokyo Street! San Fransokyo Street aboard the Disney Adventure will be inspired by the animated film Big Hero 6.

According to Disney, this area “will be a vibrant street market perfect for family entertainment with interactive games and activities, shops, cinemas and more.”

Guests aboard the ship will also be able to put their hero skills to the test in the Hiro Training Zone. This will be an immersive training simulator built by none other than Hiro Hamada. This will be an “active, full-body experience that will have groups of four running, dodging, and blocking their way across a high-tech gaming floor.”

When you’re here, make sure you keep an eye out for  characters while looking out for a few easter eggs from Disney, Pixar and MARVEL stories.

Staterooms

As we mentioned earlier this space will welcome space for several Garden View staterooms, which will be an all-new room category for Disney Cruise Line. These stateroom verandahs will overlook the ship’s garden as well as an open “lawn” area that includes a large ornately designed staircase, setting the amphitheater style seating for enjoying the live entertainment on the Garden Stage.

While Gramma Tala’s Kitchen is set to be inspired by the vibrant and serene island vibe featured throughout Moana. This restaurant will feature more of an “imaginative menu” which looks to highlight dishes with a Pacific Island and Asian flair.

Entertainment

Disney Cruise Line has announced that the Disney Adventure will have a Marvel Landing on its upper decks for guests “to experience hero-sized fun at our first adventure zone in sea.” Marvel Landing will feature three new attractions, including Ironcycle Test Run, Disney’s first roller coaster at sea. On this ride, you’ll test-drive Tony Stark’s latest Ironcycle prototype from F.R.I.D.A.Y. on a “gravity-defying ride suspended up to 30 feet above the upper deck.” Ironcycle Test Run will also soon be the longest roller coaster at sea.

However, you’ll also be able to ride two more attractions on the Disney Adventure. Pym Quantum Racer will put you behind the wheel of a Pym Tech minicar for a “zip around a full-scale toy set track, navigating outsized and undersized obstacles along the way.” On Groot Galaxy Spin, you can blast into an “awesome mix of high-soaring feats and bass-boosted beats.”

Marvel Landing will also feature a sundeck and infinity pool, as well as a pool bar, all inspired by Tony Stark’s house.

Disney Cruise Line is known for its incredible entertainment, and that means we’ve got some stage shows to talk about! “Remember” is an all-new show debuting at the Walt Disney Theater, starring Wall-E and Eve. It features characters from Coco, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and other classic films. Also in the theater will be the fan-favorite “Disney Seas the Adventure” show.

In addition to the Broadway-style musicals, you’ll find new shows at the Disney Imagination Garden onboard the ship. The Garden Stage will have three-deck-high LED screens and will show the Let’s Set Sail dance party, the “epic battle” Marvel show Avengers Assemble!, and a comedy adventure show called Captain Jack Sparrow & The Siren Queen. Mickey’s Color Spin Dance Party and Baymax Super Exercise Expo will also be found here.

While you might be familiar with similar experiences, we’ve never seen something quite like Marvel Style Studio before! This all-new studio will be open to adventurers of all ages looking to celebrate their favorite Marvel Superheroes with hair, makeup, and clothing options inspired by the Marvel Universe.

You’ll find tons of looks here to make your own inspired by the likes of Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Captain America to Captain Marvel, Thor, Black Panther, and more. However, at select times during the sailings, this space will transform into an adults-only lounge offering bookable beverage tastings.

©Disney

After your transformation is done, you can continue your superhero fun at Marvel Landing checking out new attractions exclusive to this ship like Ironcycle Test Run, Pym Quantum Racersm, and Groot Galaxy Spin.

But don’t worry — the fan-favorite Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is confirmed to return to the newest Disney Cruise Line ship as well. This enchanted salon experience is built for younger children ages 3 to 12, where they’ll receive the royal treatment of transforming into their favorite Disney Princess or adventurous sea captain through costumes, hairstyling, makeup, and accessories.

If you’ve been waiting to find out if Duffy and his friends would make an appearance somewhere on this Singapore-based ship, then this is your sign! For the first time ever, Duffy the Disney Bear and his pals will be hitting the high seas debuting on board with an all-new show “Duffy and The Friend Ship” happening at the Disney Imagination Garden stage!

You’ll find these adorable friends bringing you along on a journey filled with joy, inspiration, and original new songs. Duffy and Friends, along with a trusty guiding seagull Tippy Blue, will set off on an imaginary voyage to explore the seas on a charming adventure.

That’s not all the Duffy fun to be had, though! You’ll also want to make time to meet and greet with Duffy and his friends as well as stop by the Duffy and Friends Shop. This is where you’ll find Duffy and Friends-inspired merchandise and souvenirs! While you’re visiting, don’t forget to pick up a guide for the Duffy and Friends Discovery Quest. This is an interactive ship-wide adventure where you’ll follow the clues to help Duffy and his friends find their missing items while earning a special commemorative gift when you’re finished!

Characters

When the Disney Adventure finally sets sail, it will also be home to a fan favorite MARVEL character! That’s right — Deadpool will be joining several of the MARVEL Avengers for an all new show called Avengers Assemble! In this show, you’ll see MARVEL super heroes and villains take the stage performing a full special effects filled show that’s action-packed with epic stunts. Disney also went on to mention this stage area will be complete with “three-deck-high LED screens, special effects and innovative theatrical tools.”

©Disney

During the show, viewers may catch a glimpse of some their favorite super heroes like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Black Panther, The Scarlet Witch, and Ms. Marvel. Of course, in a battle between good and evil there’s always room for a few villains like the mischievous Loki, Red Skull, Taskmaster and more! Avengers Assemble! will be one of the signature shows coming to the Disney Adventure and you’ll be able to catch it performing at the Garden Stage.

We’ve confirmed that the notable Captain Jack Sparrow will be joining you on your voyage! You’re invited to join Captain Jack Sparrow and his band of pirates as they battle a giant squid and hunt for a rare treasure during “Captain Jack Sparrow & The Siren Queen.”

This brand-new show will also perform at the Disney Imagination Garden stage and promises to have swashbucklers of all ages recruited for a thrilling journey with the sea’s most charming, yet roguish, captain and his pirate crew. To say we’re beside ourselves to see this iconic pirate and his crew in action while sailing is an understatement and the stage rendering already looks amazing!
